TAQA Morocco: Q2 revenue declines

TAQA Morocco T2 2026 reported consolidated revenue of 2.126 million dirhams in the second quarter of 2026, compared with 2.437 MDH in the same period of 2025, according to Médias24. The change came in a context shaped by scheduled maintenance operations and an unfavorable movement in the USD/MAD exchange rate.

For Moroccans living abroad who follow major national operators, these indicators offer a view of the situation of an important energy player in Morocco. Quarterly results do not directly change everyday procedures, but they help explain the state of infrastructure, investment and the country’s industrial priorities.

TAQA Morocco T2 2026: availability and maintenance

In the second quarter of 2026, the overall availability rate stood at 86.6%, compared with 93.4% in the same period of the previous year. This decline reflects a planned 25-day minor overhaul of Unit 3, as well as an inspection of Unit 2, in line with the maintenance plan.

At the end of June 2026, the overall availability rate for Units 1 to 6 also stood at 86.6%, compared with 91.7% on June 30, 2025. TAQA Morocco T2 2026 therefore attributes part of the revenue decline to the change in availability following the Unit 3 overhaul and scheduled inspections on other units.

Investment and diversification

Over the first half of 2026, consolidated revenue reached 5.088 MDH, compared with 5.379 MDH in the same period of 2025. Investments made during the first half amounted to 515 MDH, compared with 210 MDH one year earlier.

  • Investments mainly cover low-carbon development projects.
  • They also include the minor overhaul of Unit 3.
  • They support projects linked to the group’s diversification strategy.
