Corporate income tax continues to support Morocco’s public finances in 2026. According to figures reported by Médias24, corporate tax revenue reached 69.45 billion dirhams at the end of July, compared with 55.6 billion dirhams over the same period in 2025. That represents an increase of nearly 25%, or an additional 13.84 billion dirhams.
A tax now central to revenue
This increase gives corporate tax a major role in the overall rise in tax revenue. On its own, it accounts for nearly two thirds of the total increase recorded by the end of July, estimated at 22 billion dirhams. Progress toward the annual forecast is already significant: 73.5% of the 94.5 billion dirham target was achieved during the first seven months of the year.
The ministry attributes this performance to voluntary payments, particularly the second instalment, up 4.6 billion dirhams, the first instalment, up 4.1 billion dirhams, and the adjustment payment, also up 4.1 billion dirhams.
Corporate tax moves ahead of VAT
Beyond the increase in value, the structure of tax revenue is also changing. In 2026, corporate tax represents 31% of total tax revenue, compared with 27% in 2025. VAT, meanwhile, moves from 28% last year to 27% this year.
- Corporate tax revenue at end-July 2026: 69.45 billion dirhams.
- Increase compared with 2025: nearly 25%.
- Total tax revenue: 223.8 billion dirhams.
- Overall growth in tax revenue: 10.9%.
VAT is also rising, but at a more moderate pace. With a completion rate of 51.8%, its revenue increased by 3.6 billion dirhams, or 6.5%. The rise was mainly driven by import VAT, up 2.8 billion dirhams, and to a lesser extent by domestic VAT, up 781 million dirhams.
