The suspicious death in Midelt of a young woman in a hotel is the subject of a judicial investigation. The death, which occurred on Monday 21 September, led the public prosecutor’s office to order an inquiry to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident.

The president of the Mâalab commune was ultimately placed in custody on 21 September, on the orders of the competent prosecutor.

The public prosecutor has ordered that the body be transferred to the morgue so that a forensic autopsy can be carried out.
