The Wizz Air Marrakech–Bucharest route resumes on Sunday, 20 September 2026. The airline is restarting its nonstop service between Marrakech and the Romanian capital after a pause over the summer season.
The first flight of the new schedule departed Bucharest Henri Coandă Airport at 13:10, with arrival in Marrakech scheduled for 16:05. The return flight W43272 is set for 16:45, with an expected arrival in Bucharest at 23:30.
Wizz Air Marrakech–Bucharest: nonstop A321neo service
The route is operated by Wizz Air Malta using an Airbus A321neo. The aircraft can accommodate up to 239 passengers.
For this restart, the airline is scheduling two weekly rotations. Flights are planned on Thursdays and Sundays during the initial operating period. Tickets are sold directly by Wizz Air.
More weekly flights from 26 October
The schedule will then evolve. From 26 October 2026, the airline plans three weekly rotations on the Bucharest–Marrakech route. This increase is intended to strengthen connectivity between the two cities during the winter season.
The service is part of Wizz Air Malta’s international network from Romania.
An already established route for Wizz Air
The Bucharest–Marrakech connection is not a brand-new route. Wizz Air first launched the service in October 2024. The airline also operated it in spring 2026 before suspending it for the summer.
The 20 September restart therefore marks the return of this direct route between the two cities, rather than its initial launch.
Marrakech strengthens its European flight links
This resumption offers another direct connection between the Red City and Central and Eastern Europe. For Romanian travellers, Marrakech remains accessible without a layover. The route is also likely to interest Moroccan passengers who want to fly straight to Bucharest.
With the planned increase in weekly flights from the end of October, Wizz Air is further consolidating its presence on this corridor.
The Wizz Air Marrakech–Bucharest route is thus back in the airline’s regular schedule with an initial frequency of two flights per week, before moving to three weekly rotations.
