Hakim Ziyech is leaving Wydad Casablanca after an amicable settlement between the two parties. The Morocco international is set to receive around 3.5 million dirhams for outstanding amounts owed by the Casablanca club. The sum covers two months’ salary, a loyalty bonus and housing-related expenses.
Hakim Ziyech exits Wydad after financial agreement
The departure of Hakim Ziyech comes after a mutually agreed deal with Wydad Casablanca.
According to the information shared, the player is due to receive around 3.5 million dirhams. This amount corresponds to financial commitments that remained unpaid at the time his contract was terminated.
The sum is therefore not a transfer fee. It is a financial settlement between the player and his former club.
Two million dirhams in unpaid salary
The main part of the amount relates to unpaid wages owed to Ziyech.
The player is expected to receive 2 million dirhams for two months of salary. On top of that comes a loyalty bonus estimated at 1.2 million dirhams.
The remaining balance is around 300,000 dirhams, reportedly linked to various housing expenses.
In total, the different components add up to nearly 3.5 million dirhams.
A separation that frees Hakim Ziyech
With this agreement, accounts between Hakim Ziyech and Wydad are now considered settled.
The player is now free to choose his next club. He can continue his career in Morocco or abroad, depending on the offers that come in.
His departure comes at a time when his sporting future is under close scrutiny. After several spells in Europe and the Middle East, the Morocco international must now decide on the next step in his career.
No transfer fee for Wydad
The 3.5 million dirhams figure may cause some confusion.
It is not money paid by a new club to Wydad. It represents amounts owed to Hakim Ziyech as part of the end of his contract.
Once this separation is fully completed, the player will be able to negotiate directly with his next destination.
For both Wydad and Ziyech, this termination brings their collaboration to an end on a financial basis agreed by both parties.
