Temporary Admission of Vehicles
To temporarily import a car registered abroad, whilst benefiting from the suspension of the relevant duties and taxes, you must complete a Temporary Admission (TA) declaration at the border post of entry. For this procedure, which is often carried out on board ferries travelling to the Kingdom (where customs officers are present), you must present certain required documents (see Documents to be provided).

- Document proving habitual residence abroad (residence permit, etc.);
- The original vehicle registration document (or a valid provisional registration document in the name of the vehicle importer, with no restrictions on use outside the country of registration);
- Passport;
- Insurance covering Morocco. If your insurance (Green Card) does not cover Morocco, you can take out insurance on arrival at the border crossings;
- A certified power of attorney from the vehicle owner (where the vehicle is owned by a third party);
- Rental agreement (in the case of importing a hire car). It must explicitly state that the hire company has authorised the vehicle to be brought into Morocco.
