An Adulian act of conversion to Islam
This document is issued for the benefit of anyone wishing to formalise their conversion to Islam. The person concerned must visit the consular services, bringing the required documents (see ‘Documents to be provided’). They must also recite the ‘Shahada’ in the presence of the Adouls.
- The applicant’s identity card or passport (original and a copy);
- Document proving residence in the consular district*;
- Extract from a birth certificate;
- Two standard passport photographs, measuring 4 cm by 3 cm.
* This requirement may no longer apply once local services have become widely available following the introduction of the centralised electronic register of consular registrations.
