Anthropometric data sheet

Moroccan anthropometric record: application and collection

The Moroccan anthropometric record contains information relating to the holder’s identity and criminal history. Several government departments may request this document to complete an administrative or professional procedure. Moroccans living abroad can submit their application to the relevant consular services. However, those currently in Morocco may contact the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) directly. After verifying the application, the relevant department will issue a receipt to the applicant. This document is essential, as the holder must present it when collecting the certificate. If the receipt is lost, the applicant must provide a certified statement. Depending on their place of residence, they may complete this procedure through the consular authorities or the relevant local authorities.

Who can apply for a Moroccan anthropometric record?

In principle, the holder submits the application themselves. However, their father, mother or legal guardian may carry out the procedure on their behalf if the holder is a minor or a person under guardianship. Furthermore, an adult may authorise a third party to act on their behalf. In this case, they must draw up a notarised power of attorney that clearly authorises the representative to submit the application or collect the document. The representative must also present their identity document. Furthermore, they must provide proof confirming their status as a parent, legal guardian or authorised representative.

How do I submit the application?

Firstly, the applicant must gather the required documents. A complete application pack makes it easier to verify the information and minimises the need for further visits. Next, they submit the supporting documents to the consular service or the relevant department of the DGSN. The authorities then examine the documents and register the application. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant receives a receipt. They must therefore keep this document safe until the anthropometric form is issued. Depending on the applicant’s circumstances, the authorities may request additional documents. It is therefore advisable to check the requirements with the relevant department before visiting.

How do I retrieve the anthropometric record?

To collect the Moroccan anthropometric record, the holder must present the application receipt and their CNIE. These two documents enable the officer to verify their identity and locate their application. If a representative is collecting the record, they must present their own identity document. They must also provide proof of guardianship or a certified power of attorney, as applicable. If the applicant loses their receipt, they must provide a certified declaration of loss. Without this document, the relevant department may refuse to issue the form.

How long is the form valid for?

The anthropometric record is valid for three months. Consequently, the holder must check its date of issue before including it in an administrative file. Once this period has expired, the receiving authority may require a more recent document. In this situation, the person concerned will need to submit a new application. Finally, it is advisable to apply for the form shortly before it is required. This precaution helps to avoid submitting an expired document.
