CIVIL REGISTRY DOCUMENTS AND CERTIFICATES
Marital Status Certificates
The purpose of these documents is to certify the marital status of the individuals concerned (unmarried, married, not remarried, divorced and widowed). They are issued for administrative purposes by consular services.

CELIBACY 
- Consular registration;
- CNIE + a photocopy;
- A full copy of the birth certificate;
- A notarised statutory declaration certifying family status (if the consular services are unable to determine the applicant’s family status);
- A notarised statement from two Moroccan witnesses, preferably registered with the Consulate.
WEDDING 
- Consular registration;
- Original marriage certificate + photocopy;
- The applicant’s passport or CNIE.
NO REMARRIAGE 
- Consular registration;
- Divorce decree, court judgement or spouse’s death certificate (original and photocopy);
- Full copy of the birth certificate;
- The applicant’s passport or CNIE;
- A sworn statement certified by the person concerned;
- A notarised statement from two Moroccan witnesses, preferably registered with the Consulate.
DIVORCE 
- Consular registration;
- Divorce decree (final judgement: original + photocopy);
- The applicant’s passport or CNIE.
WIDOWHOOD 
- Consular registration;
- Death certificate;
- The applicant’s passport or CNIE.
