The transfer of a body for burial in Morocco requires authorisation issued by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To this end, an application must be submitted to the relevant consular authorities.

• Surname and first name of the deceased;
• Date and place of death;
• Cause of death;
• Full details of the deceased’s parentage;
• The family’s address and telephone number in Morocco;
• A copy of the deceased’s CNIE or Moroccan passport, or, failing that, the deceased’s identity document and a copy of the CNIE or Moroccan passport of a close relative;
• Place of burial in Morocco;
• Date of arrival of the remains in Morocco;
• Border post at which the remains entered the country;
• Proof that repatriation costs will be covered (insurance, etc.).
