Application and issue
The travel document is a short-term travel permit (valid for one month) issued, on an exceptional basis, to people who do not hold a valid passport or who have lost their passport, in order to facilitate their return to Morocco.
Before the pass is issued, a preliminary check is carried out to verify the identity and Moroccan nationality of the person concerned.
If the person concerned holds an expired passport, the consular service will cancel it before issuing the laissez-passer.
PLEASE NOTE:
- In the absence of documents proving the person’s Moroccan nationality, their fingerprints are taken and sent to the Moroccan authorities for identification, together with an information sheet bearing a photograph.
REQUEST
- Two standard passport photographs, 4 cm by 3 cm in size;
- Report of a lost or stolen passport, where applicable;
- Any (original) document proving Moroccan nationality (CNIE, old passport, etc.). For minors who do not have a CNIE: family record book or an extract from the birth certificate or an individual civil status record + the legal representative’s identity card and residence permit (the legal representative must be present and provide proof of this status).
